What You Can Do Here

One camp, four seasons, and more Maine wilderness than you can cover in a lifetime of visits.

The Main Event

Fishing on Molunkus Lake

Because the lake sits beyond the power lines, boat traffic stays light and the fishing stays exceptional. Molunkus is best known for smallmouth bass, chain pickerel, and white perch, with landlocked salmon and brook trout in the watershed's cold streams.

  • Shallow, rocky shoreline with countless shoals โ€” classic smallmouth structure
  • Frontage on Little Molunkus & Four Mile streams for brook fishing
  • Kayaks and power boats available at camp; dock space for your own boat
  • Ice fishing when the lake freezes over

Maine fishing license required โ€” available online from Maine IF&W.

Ride From Your Door

ATV Trails

Park the truck and forget it. Cabins connect directly to the region's interconnected ATV trail network โ€” hundreds of miles of woods roads and maintained trails through working forest, along streams, and past ponds most people never see.

  • Direct trail access from camp โ€” no trailering once you arrive
  • Routes for relaxed family rides or all-day expeditions
  • Fuel, hot showers, and a real bed waiting at the end of the day
  • Snowmobile access in winter via regional ITS trails

Hunting Season

Southern Aroostook County is storied big-woods hunting country. Guests return every fall for whitetail deer, moose (by permit), black bear, and upland birds like ruffed grouse and woodcock.

  • Thousands of acres of accessible working forest surrounding camp
  • Warm cabins, hot showers, and hearty evenings after cold days
  • Game hanging and local registration guidance available

Paddling & Swimming

Kayak the shoreline, swim off the dock, and drift past loons on water that stays calm because almost nobody else is on it.
