Getting Here

Directions

Camp sits in Southern Aroostook County, roughly halfway between Bangor and Houlton.

From I-95 — Exit 259 (Benedicta)

  1. Take I-95 North to Exit 259 (Benedicta) and stay right off the ramp.
  2. Go about 1.4 miles to the stop sign and take a right.
  3. Continue about 8.9 miles until you see the yellow four-way sign.
  4. Take a left — and you're there. Watch for our camp sign.

Heads up: GPS apps don't always find the camp — trust these directions over the map for the last stretch.

By ATV or Snowmobile

Camp connects to the regional trail network — many guests ride in. Call ahead for current trail conditions and the best approach routes.

What to Bring

Bedding and linens (housekeeping cabins), a cooler with provisions, fishing/hunting licenses, and a flashlight. We supply firewood, gas lights, and the quiet.

Common Questions

FAQ

Is there electricity?

The lake is beyond the power lines — that's why it's so quiet. Original cabins use gas lights; modern housekeeping cabins have generator power in the evenings plus gas appliances and hot water.

Is there cell service or Wi-Fi?

Coverage is limited and that's part of the charm. Check with us for the current situation before your stay if you need to stay reachable.

Do kids stay free?

Yes — children 12 and under stay free with a paying adult. Just include them in your guest count when you book.

Do you offer seaplane tours?

Coming soon — scenic seaplane flights over the Katahdin region and the Maine North Woods, departing right from the lake. Contact us to be notified when flights launch.

Can I bring my dog?

Well-behaved pets are welcome for an additional $25 — just tell us when you book.

Do you rent boats?

Yes — kayaks and power boats are available at camp, and waterfront cabins include dock space for your own boat.

Are you open in winter?

Yes, we're open year-round. Winter guests come for snowmobiling and ice fishing. Some cabins are winterized — call for winter availability.

Can you host our wedding or reunion?

Wedding and event hosting is coming soon. With 14 cabins, a historic lodge, and a private lakefront, camp is made for full-property events — contact us to get on the list.
